A 3D modeling course in a book!
Our Google SketchUp 7 Hands-On: Student Coursebook makes it
easy for you to teach this essential application. Students start by
learning each drawing and editing tool, then work their way up to more complex
design projects. Each hands-on exercise is fully detailed and illustrated.
In addition to the guided exercises, there are over 50 independent projects that require students to apply concepts just learned. These projects are ideal for classwork or homework assignments.
The exercises in the Student Coursebook are based upon the material presented
in our pro-level SketchUp books, in a format that encourages independent thinking and builds upon acquired knowledge. The accompanying Instructor Guide is a copy of the Student Coursebook, with extra material explaining how to complete each project.

What is SketchUp?
Google SketchUp is a FREE, powerful, and intuitive 3D modeling program used for years by design professionals such as architects and engineers. Recently, secondary and post-secondary teachers and instructors have discovered how much their students love SketchUp, and how it provides a solid base for thinking and designing in 3D. SketchUp is also the perfect stepping-stone for complex CAD applications such as AutoCAD, 3DStudio, Maya, and others.
